How to use

Read and keep the carton for complete warnings and information.

Use as directed. When taking other medications, it is important to understand the ingredients to reduce the risk of drug interactions and adverse events. You should not take more than the recommended dose because it will increase the risk of side effects.

To maximize the benefit and reduce risk, it is important to use over-the-counter medicines responsibly according to the label and speak with a doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.

Do Not Use if the seal under the bottle cap imprinted with "SEALED for YOUR PROTECTION" is broken or missing.

Dosage directions

Do not take more than directed. The smallest effective dose should be used.

  • Adults and children 12 years and over: take ONE caplet every 4 to 6 hours while symptoms persist.
  • If pain or fever does not respond to ONE caplet, then TWO caplets may be used.
  • Do not exceed 6 caplets in 24 hours, unless directed by a doctor.
  • Children under 12 years: ask a doctor before using.

Take with food or milk if stomach upset occurs.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a health professional before use. Do not use after 20 weeks of pregnancy. It is especially important not to use ibuprofen during the last 3 months of pregnancy unless definitely directed to do so by a doctor because it may cause problems in the unborn child or complications during delivery.

Ingredients

  • Active Ingredients: (in each tablet) ibuprofen 200 mg. (Purpose: Pain reliever/Fever reducer; nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug [NSAID]).
  • Inactive Ingredients: acetylated monoglycerides, colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, croscarmellose sodium, methylparaben, microcrystalline cellulose, pharmaceutical glaze, pharmaceutical ink, povidone, pregelatinized starch, propylparaben, sodium benzoate, sodium lauryl sulfate, stearic acid, sucrose, synthetic iron oxide, titanium dioxide, White Wax.

Warnings and Restrictions

Read all product packaging and labels carefully prior to use.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist after 10 days.

  • Do not use if you have had an allergic reaction to any other pain reliever.
  • Do not use right before or after heart surgery.
  • NSAIDs may cause a severe allergic reaction, particularly in people allergic to aspirin.
  • NSAIDs may cause severe stomach bleeding especially in those over 60 years, previous stomach problems, taking a blood thinner or other NSAIDs, or drinking more than 3 alcoholic drinks daily.
  • May increase the risk of heart attack, heart failure, and stroke, especially if you use more than directed or for longer than directed.
  • Seek medical advice before using if you have a history of stomach problems, have high blood pressure, heart disease, liver or kidney disease, asthma, history of stroke, or are on a diuretic.
  • When using this product, take with food or milk if stomach upset occurs.
  • Stop use and ask a doctor if: an allergic reaction occurs.

Seek medical help right away if:

  • pain gets worse or lasts more than 10 days
  • fever gets worse or lasts more than 3 days
  • stomach pain or upset gets worse or lasts more than 3 days
  • redness or swelling is present in the painful area
  • any new symptoms occur
  • In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

OTHER (EXTENDED) SAFETY CAUTIONS AND INFORMATION:

Allergy alert:

  • Ibuprofen may cause a severe allergic reaction, especially in people allergic to aspirin.
  • Symptoms may include: hives, facial swelling, asthma (wheezing), shock, skin reddening, rash, or blisters. If an allergic reaction occurs, stop use and seek medical help right away.

Stomach bleeding warning:

This product contains ibuprofen, an NSAID, which may cause severe stomach bleeding.

The chance is higher if you:

  • are age 60 or older
  • have had stomach ulcers or bleeding problems
  • take more than recommended dose
  • take a blood thinning (anticoagulant) or steroid drug
  • take other drugs containing prescription or non-prescription NSAIDs (aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, or others)
  • have 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day while using this product
  • take more or for a longer time than directed

Alcohol warning: if you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take ibuprofen or other pain relievers/fever reducers.

Ask a doctor before use if:

  • you have problems or serious side effects from taking pain relievers or fever reducers
  • you have a history of stomach problems, such as heartburn, ulcers, upset stomach, or stomach pain
  • you have high blood pressure, heart disease, liver cirrhosis, kidney disease, or asthma
  • you are taking a diuretic
  • you are over 65 years of age

Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are:

  • under a doctor's care for any serious condition
  • taking any other product that contains ibuprofen, or any other pain reliever/fever reducer
  • taking aspirin for heart attack or stroke, because ibuprofen may decrease this benefit of aspirin
  • taking a prescription drug for anticoagulation (blood thinning)
  • taking any other drug

Stop use and seek medical advice if:

  • you experience any of the following signs of stomach bleeding: feel faint, vomit blood, have bloody or black stools
  • have stomach pain that does not get better
  • pain gets worse or lasts more than 10 days
  • fever gets worse or lasts more than 3 days
  • redness or swelling is present in the painful area
  • any new symptoms appear

Overdose

In case of an overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Storage

  • Store at room temperature 20-25°C (68-77°F).
  • Avoid excessive heat above 40°C (104°F).
  • Keep out of reach of children.
