Description

Mucinex Sinus-Max Nasal Spray Clear & Cool provides an instant cooling blast to let you know it has started working. It temporarily relieves nasal congestion and sinus pain due to a cold, hay fever, or other upper respiratory allergies.

Mucinex Sinus-Max Severe Nasal Congestion Relief helps relieve nasal congestion, sinus congestion, and sinus pressure. It works by helping clear nasal passages, and shrinks swollen membranes, thereby promoting nasal and sinus drainage.

Contains Oxymetazoline HCl, a topical nasal decongestant.

Dosage

Follow the directions on the package for priming and using the spray for the first time.

Adults and children 6 to under 12 years of age (with adult supervision): 2 or 3 sprays in each nostril not more often than every 10 to 12 hours.
Do not exceed 2 doses in any 24-hour period.
Children under 6 years of age: ask a doctor.

Additional usage instructions

To open, hold by the white grips, then squeeze and turn the cap.
Before using the first time, remove the protective cap from the tip and prime metered pump by depressing it firmly several times.
To spray, hold the bottle with your thumb at the base and nozzle between the first and second fingers. Without tilting the head, insert the nozzle into the nostril.
Fully depress the pump all the way down with a firm, even stroke and sniff deeply. Wipe the nozzle clean after use.
To close, turn the cap until it clicks.
Do not discard the cap.

Active ingredient: Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride 0.05%.
Inactive ingredients: Benzalkonium Chloride; Camphor; Edetate Disodium; Eucalyptol; Glycine; Menthol; Polyethylene Glycol; Polysorbate 80; Propylene Glycol; Purified Water; Sodium Chloride; Sodium Hydroxide.

Warnings and Restrictions

Read all product packaging and labels carefully prior to use.

When using this product:

Do not exceed recommended dosage.
Use only as directed.
Do not use for more than 3 days due to the risk of rebound congestion. Frequent or prolonged use may cause nasal congestion to recur or worsen.
Use of the spray by more than one person may spread infection.
Be aware that this product may cause temporary discomfort such as burning, stinging, sneezing, or an increase in nasal discharge.
Tamper evident: do not use if the printed seal over the cap is torn or missing.

Ask a doctor before use if you have:

heart disease
high blood pressure
thyroid disease
diabetes
or difficulty urinating due to enlarged prostate

If pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a health professional before use.

For adult indications, do not use for children under 12 years of age; if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product.

Ask a doctor before use if you have a persistent or chronic cough, such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema; a cough accompanied by too much phlegm (mucus). When using this product: do not use more than directed.
