Bonjela soothing teething gel is an over-the-counter medication that can be used for teething problems in infants over the age of 6 months and contains no anaesthetic, alcohol, sugar or artificial sweeteners. The treatment creates a protective film over the infant’s gums to help reduce pain and discomfort from the inflammation caused by teething.

Who is it for?

Bonjela soothing teething gel can be used for teething problems in infants over the age of 6 months. This product is specially formulated for infants when their first teeth begin pushing through the gums and into the mouth and causing pain.

How does it work?

Bonjela soothing teething gel contains no anaesthetic and works by creating a protective film over sensitive teething gums. This protects and soothes the irritated gum from discomfort as they are teething. It also contains several natural anti-inflammatory ingredients such as rosa damascena petal extract, malva sylvestris extract and aloe barbadensis leaf extract (also known as aloe vera) to help reduce inflammation during the teething process.

Should anyone avoid taking it?

Bonjela soothing teething gel should not be used in children younger than 6 months.

Are there any side-effects?

As with any medications, some people are bound to get some unwanted side effects. Bonjela soothing teething gel has no known side-effects, however allergic reactions may occur. If this happens then discontinue use.
